U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson Sits Down With Russia
The secretary of state is in Moscow to meet with his Russia counterpart
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has traveled to Russia to meet with his counterpart Sergei Lavrov. The sit down comes amid escalating tensions between the two nations over the behavior of the Syrian regime and Russia's support for Bashar Al-Assad.
Last week, a chemical attack in Syria lead to a retaliatory strike from the U.S that was condemned by Russia.
In what will likely be a tense meeting, Tillerson will seek to convince Russia to drop its support for the Syrian leader.
