A U.S. judge has blocked President Donald Trump's third travel ban.
The ban was announced in September and was set to come into effect this week, with people from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and North Korea set to be impacted.
The two previous incarnations of the ban have been blocked by the courts and U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson believes the latest ban violates immigration law.
The White House said in a statement that "These restrictions are vital to ensuring that foreign nations comply with the minimum security standards required for the integrity of our immigration system and the security of our nation."
