U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions Testifies About Russia
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions testimony will be open to the public this afternoon. He is expected to set the record straight on his meeting with Russian officials. His overall testimony will help shed light on if and how Russia interfered in the U.S. 2016 presidential election. The Federal Reserve is kicking off a 2-day meeting. It is widely expected the governors will hike interest rates by a quarter point and that decision will come tomorrow afternoon. Market participants are also very interested in what the Federal Reserve will say about reducing its balance sheet. Small Business Optimism held steady in May. The National Federation of Independent Business survey had one of the highest readings of hiring in the history of the survey. Businesses did say finding skilled workers is a challenge.
