The U.S. and China have reached a deal to expand trade.

The agreement will see the two countries expand trade of beef and chicken, as well as increase access for financial firms. The deal comes after trade talks took place in April between President Trump and President Xi.

U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the deal is part of a plan to combat the U.S. trade deficit with China.

"This will help us to bring down the deficit for sure. You watch and you'll see," said Secretary Ross.
