Tyson Foods (TSN) - Get Report reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings and raised guidance. However, the quarterly filing also contained some bad news that sent shares tumbling. The Securities and Exchange Commission has subpoenaed the company in connection with a price-fixing lawsuit. The suit, filed on Sept. 2, contends that Tyson and its subsidiaries attempted to fix chicken prices by manipulating the Georgia Dock, the industry benchmark chicken pricing index.

Analysts at Jefferies and Credit Suisse said they don't expect the suit to affect Tyson in the long term. They contend that the company's earnings stream is undervalued.
