Trump Victory Sends Pound, Deutsche Bank Surging Higher This Week
The beaten down British pound got a big lift from Donald's Trump's win this week, as did embattled Deutsche Bank.
Market volatility following Donald Trump's election win extended across the pond this week, with the British pound and Deutsche Bank surging higher. Antonia Oprita, columnist and senior editor at Real Money, says Deutsche Bank rallied on hopes the bank will be able to negotiate a lower fine with the U.S. Department of Justice now that Trump will be in the White House. Oprita says Deutsche Bank is one of the biggest lenders to Trump's business organization. In the week ahead, traders will review several new economic reports, including GDP data for the Eurozone.
