Trump Urges Consumers to Buy L.L. Bean Amid Boycott Threat

President-elect Donald Trump praised preppy clothing maker L.L. Bean after anti-Trump groups urged consumers to boycott the outdoor retailer because the granddaughter of the company's founder publicly supports Trump.
Linda Bean sits on the board of the family-owned company, but isn't an executive, and also donated $60,000 to a Trump PAC last year.
While Bean has been active in Republican politics in Maine, her cousin Leon Gorman, a retired chairman and CEO of the company, has been an active Democratic donor. L.L. Bean said in a statement.
