Trump's Trade Policies Will Create Stock Market Winners and Losers
CFRA Reseach has identified several companies that could be hurt but a shift toward trade protectionism.
A potential change in trade policies under a Trump Administration will create few stock market winners, according to Tuna Amobi, an equity analyst at CFRA Research. Amobi says Delphi Automotive ( (DLPH) - Get Report ) could be an indirect beneficiary of increased protectionism, as only about one-third of its revenues are generated outside the U.S. But there are several companies that could be hurt by a shift in policies, including Ford Motor ( (F) - Get Report ), which plans to move a portion of its car production to Mexico. Other companies that could be hurt are Lear ( (LEA) - Get Report ), Hasbro ( (HAS) - Get Report ), and Pier 1 Imports ( (PIR) - Get Report ), says Amobi.
