Thousands of people gathered in London and in cities across the U.K. on Monday to protest U.S. President Donald Trump's immigration ban. The ban prevents citizens from seven countries -- Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen -- from entering the United States.

The demonstration in London comes as a petition demanding British Prime Minister Theresa May cancel Donald Trump's planned state visit to the U.K. received over 1.5 million signatures. Chants throughout the night included "Dump Trump" and "Theresa May -- shame on you."
