Trump May Be Partially Responsible for Making M&A Great Again in 2017
There's renewed confidence for dealmaking in 2017.
President Donald Trump's policies should help drive merger and acquisition activity in 2017, according to one expert.
"I always say, at the highest level, Donald Trump is a dealmaker. So I think as he approaches everything in his administration, he's taking sort of an eye towards doing deals," said Paul Aversano, global practice leader of the transaction advisory group at Alvarez & Marsal. "At the end of the day, I also think that the eye toward less regulatory involvement, loosening of the tax codes, tax reform, and other things that he's already discussed are really going to drive M&A activity."
