In a speech today on the economy, President Donald J. Trump continued his harsh criticism of the Federal Reserve.
Trump said he's managed to improve the economy "despite the near-record number of rate increases and quantitative tightening" that was "far too fast an increase and far too slow a decrease."
He also commented on other nations that have negative interest rates, asking the audience "Whoever heard of such a thing?" To some laughter, he continued, "Give me some of that money. I want some of that money. The smart people are clapping," he said.
Throughout his speech, Trump cheered the U.S. economy since his election, calling it a "time of prosperity."
