President Trump ripped apart Jon Ossoff, the leading Democratic candidate in Georgia's special congressional election. The President took to twitter on Monday with the intention of painting the candidate as soft on crime. "While I'm glad the President is interested in the race, he is misinformed,"Ossoff told NBC in response. "I'm focused on bringing fresh leadership, accountability, and bipartisan problem solving to Washington to cut wasteful spending." While the 30-year-old collected at least $8.3 million in campaign contributions, recent polls show Ossoff is running several points below 50 percent. The special election is being held to replace former Representative Tom Price who Trump tapped to become the Secretary of Health and Human Services. If Ossoff cannot muster 50% of the vote today a runoff between the two top candidates will be held in June.
