The Trump administration has accused Germany of exploiting the weak euro in order to take advantage of trade partners, including the Trump administration.
This criticism of Germany isn't a new phenomenon though, as the IMF has previously urged Germany to boost consumption and EU economic growth.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel rejected the accusations, stating, "As far as the question of the euro is concerned, Germany is a country that has always promoted the European Central Bank to make an independent policy."
