In this month's Trading Strategies session, our panelists dissected the sell-in-May-and-go-away mantra.

Sponsored by Charles Schwab (SCHW) , the roundtable was moderated by David Callaway, CEO and President of TheStreet, Inc. and included:

  • Tony Dwyer, chief market strategist, Canaccord Genuity;
  • Mona Mahajan, U.S. investment strategist, Allianz Global Investors;
  • Ann Miletti, managing director and lead portfolio manager, Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFC) ;
  • Bob Lang, columnist, TheStreet's Real Money premium Web site and co-manager of TheStreet's Trifecta Stocks model portfolio.

The panelists' also latest picks for the best sectors and stocks to put your money in.

But in this clip, they explored the sell-in-May-and-go-away mantra.

And Miletti gives the bottom line: "As an investor, you want to avoid buying at the top and avoid selling when everyone else is selling so the whole sell in May and go away theory, I'd rather be buying when everyone else is selling."
