Biggest Pharmaceuticals Mergers And Acquisition in History
Pfizer (PFE) - Get Pfizer Inc. Report made headlines on Monday when it announced that it's buying Arena Pharmaceuticals (ARNA) - Get Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Report in $6.7 billion deal.

The pharmaceutical giant is paying $100 per share in cash for Arena.
It's worth noting that Pfizer has been known for acquiring small pharmaceutical companies. In 1999, it acquired 165-year old Warner-Lambert in a deal valued $87.3 billion. The deal is the largest acquisition of any pharmaceutical companies so far.
Not only that, Pfizer had also acquired other two companies - Pharmacia (2002) and Wyeth (2009) - whose deals made it to the list of top ten pharmaceuticals mergers and acquisition so far.
