The American Automobile Association published the results of a survey detailing the top five summer vacation destinations for Americans in 2019. The list consists of the following:

  • Orlando, Florida
  • London, England
  • Rome, Italy
  • Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
  • Dublin, Ireland

TheStreet went to--ahem the street--to conduct our own survey on the vacation plans for everyday people in New York City.

AAA estimates that nearly 100 million Americans, about 4 in 10 U.S. adults, are planning to take a family vacation in 2019.

According to other studies, in 2018, 47% of American workers did not take all of their vacation time, and 21% left more than five days of vacation on the table.

In 2017, American workers accumulated 705 million unused days, an increase from the 662 million days that went unused the year before.

So, before you take your vacation days, take a listen to what these Big Apple visitors had to say.
