Americans are fed up with the one percent, powerful elite manipulating the U.S. economy and pushing policies in Washington that benefit them. Does the U.S. resemble an oligarchy? Well, not quite. An oligarchy is a government in which "a small group exercises control," especially for selfish purposes.
