A flaw in a widely used computer software leaves thousands of people at risk of an attack similar to the WannaCry virus that infected 300,000 computers earlier this month.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced the flaw on Wednesday and urged companies to act immediately, provide and apply a patch to protect users.
Most of those at risk from this new vulnerability are individual users. However, some of the computers that could be affected if hackers exploit this new flaw belong to companies.
