Bond investing is more dangerous now than ever, according to one fund manager. Rising rates pose market dislocations and a threat to fixed income investors, says Stewart Taylor, a vice president and portfolio manager at Eaton Vance. He equates the current environment to 'picking up nickels in front of a steamroller.' He favors laddering bond investments as a way to protect capital. Taylor spoke with TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler at Camp Kotok, an annual retreat of economists and money managers held in Grande Lake Stream, Maine.
