Ben Willis of Princeton Securities says investors can no longer just buy a stock index and watch it go up. He believes this market is a market for stocks, meaning investors have to look more closely at individual stocks. He pointed out that bio-tech stocks and momentum stocks have actually suffered a correction. However, stocks in the utility sector and energy sector have performed well. Index funds may have less risk, but then the performance will also suffer.
