TheStreet's New Portfolio Manager Chris Versace on Theme Stocks

TheStreet's new subscription services portfolio manager, Chris Versace, sat down with Rhonda Schaffler to discuss his new role and how he's approaching portfolio management at TheStreet. Versace will be managing the Growth Seeker and Trifecta portfolios. Versace said he likes investing using a thematic perspective. For example, Versace likes stocks to play on the theme of an increasingly connected society, and cited Skyworks Solutions (SWKS) and Amazon (AMZN) as two examples. Versace also likes cyber security plays like Fortinet (FTNT)and athletic and leisure plays such as Under Armour (UA). All four of those stocks are currently held in the portfolio. Versace said the portfolios will be actively managed and subscribers will receive a lot of commentary and insight about stocks.
