Therapy Dogs Help Airport Holiday Travelers
It is hard not to feel stress while traveling during the holidays, so therapy dogs visited Newark Liberty Airport to raise spirits.
Travelers flying through New Jersey's Newark Liberty Airport are getting an unexpected pick-me-up. United Airlines' (UAL) - Get Report United Paws program is bringing therapy dogs to their passengers. Travelers are taking a moment out of their holiday rush to get to know them.
The largest dog by far is Puppy Chuck. He is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, and he provides services beyond just comforting passengers at the airport. Puppy Chuck is also a Glucodog, who helps his owner and is able to help alert his owner to drops in blood glucose levels and before a medical crisis occurs.
