The Rumors Are True - Apple Is Interested in Self-Driving Cars
Apple finally confirms widespread specultation that it's been working on technology for self-driving cars.
It's been in the rumor mill for awhile and now Apple (AAPL) - Get Report has confirmed it. According to the Wall Street Jornal, Apple says its interested in self-driving cars. Apple made the comments in a letter to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, saying its investing heavily in the study of machine learning and automation. Apple did not say if the company would design self-driving cars or make software available to automakers. Apple's Project Titan was rumored to be focused on self-driving cars.
