Royal Caribbean's Azamara line is offering more adventurous land-based excursions with its cruises.
Azamara Club Cruises, Royal Caribbean's (RCL) - Get Report upscale brand, is expanding its offerings as travelers become more adventurous. Azamara puts special focus on its land-based excursions, and has introduced several new programs under the theme "Cruise Global, Connect Local." Larry Pimentel. president and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises, explains that includes things like having travelers disembark and spending the night with local families in various countries. While the average age of most Azamara cruise guests is in the mid 50s, Pimentel thinks Millennials will find the new options appealing.
