The New Pepsi Generation Is Not Soda, It's 'Bubly'

PepsiCo recently beat on earnings expectations but the future may not be in soda for them -- its just may be in seltzer. And we had our own millennial taste test to see how the company's Bubly stacks up. Watch!

PepsiCo (PEP) - Get PepsiCo, Inc. Report  recently blew threw profit forecasts and beat by 9 cents a share, posting adjusted earnings of $1.61 a share on the back of a bunch of cost cuts across divisions.

And at $16.1 billion, net revenue was slightly ahead of consensus estimates.

But its not all chips and sunshine for the AAP PLUS Portfolio Holding, that Cramer picked as his Real Money Stock of the Day

Volume in PepsiCo's North American beverage business fell 2% from a year earlier, with the division's operating profit falling by 15% and Coke (KO) - Get Coca-Cola Company Report  still a threat.

And Executive Editor @briansozzi posted this on Real Money's Columnist Conversation:

"To the casual investor, PepsiCo's (PEP) quarter was pretty straightforward. Earnings beat, sales were pressured, guidance reiterated. But looking at the cost cuts in Quaker Foods, it could be Pepsi's signal the division is being prepared to be put on the sales block."
