Electronic gadgets are always popular holiday gifts, but many of this year’s hot tech items are vulnerable to hacking. Intel Security (INTC) has released its 2015 list of the most hackable holiday gifts, which includes wearable technology, smartphones, tablets, and drones. ‘Of course a smartphone or a tablet is always going to make our list of most hackable gifts. These have topped gift giving and receiving wish lists for many years now,’ said Stacey Conner, an online safety expert with Intel Security. ‘But also what we’re seeing this year are new devices come up on the list. Things like fitness trackers, or camera-related devices like drones, or smartwatches, and even interactive children’s toys.’ For example, a child using a drone in his or her home opens the door to a cybercriminal once that drone video is downloaded to a personal computer or tablet. 'If a cybercriminal then hacks into my PC, now they have access to all of that video that the drone took,' said Conner. TheStreet's Rhonda Schaffler reports.
