The Most Expensive Places to Drink Beer Around the World
Just in time for summer vacations, GoEuro compiled a list of the best and worst cities across the globe for avid beer drinkers. GoEuro, the travel planning and booking company, combined data from seventy-five cities across the globe and found which of the most travelled cities have residents that drink the most beer, spend the most on beer, and what cities have the cheapest and most expensive bars on average. Geneva tops the list in terms of highest average beer prices measured by looking at both grocery store and bar prices. Although Helsinki comes in 13th for countries that consume the most beer, the Finnish city tops the list of cities that spend the most on beer annually per person. Two American cities make this same list of biggest beer budgets, New York in third and Miami in fourth. Conversely, Cairo and Delhi are the two cities that spend the least on beer annually by person, due in part to the fact that they are also the two cities that drink the least beer as well. When it comes to bars, Hong Kong has the most expensive bars on average while Geneva comes in a close second. New York and Miami land at fourth and fifth on the list respectively. On the other hand, Bratrislava, Slovakia has the cheapest bars on average with Delhi as the second cheapest.
