The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE is Beautiful and Terrifying
Behold, the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, a two-seater packing Formula 1 hybrid technology.
Mercedes unveiled its Project One, two-seat hybrid hypercar at the International Auto Show in Frankfurt.
It features one turbo engine and four electric motors and packs Formula One hybrid technology.
Mercedes says it produces over 1,000 PS and reaches a top speed over 215 mph.
The car's 1.6 L gas engine has direct injection along with electric assist single turbocharging.
Rather than mechanical valve springs, this hypercar uses pneumatic valve springs and the engine can reach speeds of 11,000 rpm.
Mercedes claims this hybrid responds faster than a naturally aspirated V8 engine.
