A gender earnings gap still remains. Women's median earnings are lower than men's in nearly all occupations, according to the Institute For Women's Policy Research. There are only three occupations where women earn more than men. In 2013, the average weekly earnings for female full-time workers were $706, compared with $860 per week for men. Some ways to improve women's earnings are non-discriminatory hiring and pay practices along with better training and career counseling.
