Target (TGT) announced on Thursday that it would be rolling out a new feature nationwide.

Every Target employee will be able to check out customers anywhere in the store.

The announcement comes after the company has struggled to compete with the Death Star that is Amazon (AMZN) .

Cramer believes that the Target announcement is just one way that the company is attempting and "Empire Strikes Back" move.

The move is also one of the ways that the company is revamping Black Friday. Sales in brick and mortar stores have suffered thanks to Amazon and the ease of online shopping. Target also announced that it will be opening at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

In the past year, shares of Target have soared 40%.
