Dan Dicker, Energy contributor at TheStreet.com, talks with Jim Cramer about the changing world of energy brought about by low oil prices. One mega trend that Dicker sees is the vast amount of fresh capital being deployed by Private Equity companies for distressed oil companies. Funds from Carlyle, Pincus Warburg, Apollo Global Management and others are joining Blackstone at buying debt, refinancing and buying oil assets. With the Blackstone/Linn Energy (LINE) deal as a model, private equity funds look well-positioned for nothing but very advantageous terms for future deals and could make them the best energy investments to have for the next few years.
