Tesla Motors (TSLA) is telling some owners of its Model S electric vehicles to quit hogging the superchargers. In an email, the car maker asked drivers to stop abusing the free fast-charging stations, annoying some drivers on the receiving end. Tesla says the superchargers are for long-distance travel, and not intended for local use. Company CEO Elon Musk says that he wants to establish some sort of etiquette as to how the stations should be used. He wants owners to plug and recharge at home, leaving the supercharger available for those who need them most. In a note to certain owners Tesla wrote, 'As a frequent user of local Superchargers, we ask that you decrease your local Supercharging and promptly move your Model S once charging is complete.' TheStreet's Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
