Tesla Model 3 Owners May Not Get a Free Ride on Charging
Tesla shares are lower Wednesday after the company's shareholder meeting revealed that not every Tesla car owner will have free access to the company's Superchargers.
Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report shares are lower in Wednesday's trading session after the company's shareholder meeting revealed that not every Tesla car owner will have free access to the company's Superchargers. Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, said that some Tesla owners were worried that new Model 3 owners would put a strain on the Supercharger system. Musk said use of the Superchargers won't be free for Model 3 buyers, but they would have the option to buy an additional package that allows charging access. Tesla has received about 400,000 orders for the Model 3.
