Tesla Is Not 100 Percent Reliable, Says Consumer Reports
Teslas (TSLA) may not be the most reliable vehicles out there, according to the latest consumer reports survey.
Teslas (TSLA) may not be the most reliable vehicles out there, according to the latest Consumer Reports survey. The electric car maker didn't fit the traditional ranking because it only has limited car models but responses from 1,400 vehicle owners suggested the Model S has below average reliability. There were reports of sunroof leaks, electric motor problems and issues with the dashboard screen. The annual survey placed Lexus and Toyota (TM) as the best performing brand in terms of reliability, followed by Audi (AG). The worst performers this year were Infiniti, Cadillac (GM) and Ram. Elaborate new transmissions are helping vehicles meet fuel economy standards but also seem to require more maintenance and repairs.
