Tesla Hires Apple Engineer to Work on Autopilot Software
Tesla poached a key software engineer from Apple.
Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report has made a huge hire. The electric automaker led by Elon Musk poached Apple (AAPL) - Get Report engineer Chris Lattner to be in charge of Tesla's Autopilot self-driving software. At Apple, Lattner worked on Swift, which allows third parties to create apps for Apple platforms. Tesla shares moved slightly lower on Wednesday.
