Tesla Announces New Car Owners Will Have to Pay to Use Superchargers
New buyers of Tesla cars will have to pay a 'small fee' to use its Supercharger network, after the first 1,000 miles.
Tesla (TSLA) - Get Report will begin charging new-car buyers a small free to use its Supercharger network. According to a press release, owners who buy a new Tesla car after the first of the year will get free charging for the first 1,000 miles, but will then be charged a small fee to Supercharge. Tesla said owners will pay a small fee that will "cost less than the price of filling up a comparable gas car."
TheStreet's Jim Cramer says it's great Tesla is always in motion and doing a lot of things, but the company is too promotional for him.
