Ted Cruz Makes the Case for Confirming Supreme Court Nominee Gorsuch
Ted Cruz tells reporters he hopes Democrats can set aside 'their anger over the election results' during Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch's confirmation hearing.
Senator Ted Cruz was on Capitol Hill today praising President Trump's pick to replace Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.
Speaking to reporters, Sen. Cruz called Judge Neil Gorsuch an extraordinary nominee and said "one way or another, I believe Judge Gorsuch will be confirmed."
Sen. Cruz also reminded reporters that no Democrats opposed Gorsuch in his confirmation to the Court of Appeals 10 years ago.
He went on to say that he hopes Democrats in the Senate would set aside "their anger over the election results" during Gorsuch's confirmation hearing.
