Emil Michael, senior VP and a close Kalanick friend, will leave the company, the report said.
Uber's board met on Sunday to study proposals from an investigation into sexual harassment and related issues directed by the law firm of former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder.
Last month, Uber fired Anthony Levandowski, a VP of technology and the lead engineer steering the company's self-driving vehicle efforts.
