Target to Keep Stores Open Later in Answer to Customers' Requests
Beginning this month Target is extending store closing times by one to two hours on the weekends as well as during the week.
Beginning this month at more than 900 of its nearly 1,800 stores across the country, Target is extending store closing times by one to two hours on the weekends as well as during the week. The extended hours aren't universal and will vary by store. The later hours are already in effect in some New York and New Jersey stores, which close at 11 pm today. Target spokeswoman Erika Winkels told us the move is being made in answer to shoppers who had been asking for longer hours. She called the decision an example of listening to guests and customizing the Target shopping experience based upon what they tell the company. TheStreet's Brittany Umar reports from New York.
