Target Offers Free Shipping and More Initiatives for the Holidays

Target is taking aim at its holiday competition by offering free shipping on all items now through December 20. Target also announced other holiday initiatives, including an extended time period for price matching if a customer finds an item for less somewhere else, a new toy on sale for 50% off through Target's coupon app Cartwheel from November 2 to December 24, and an interactive iPad app that lets kids add products to a wish list parents can use to buy their favorite items. Target, which TheStreet Ratings team rates a buy, is still recovering from a credit card data breach that resulted in up to 110 million customers' personal information being stolen. That breach cost the company $148 million, minus a $38 million insurance payment.
