Take-Two Interactive (TTWO - Get Report) earnings are out, and here are two things to think about after the earnings call transcript is released, according to Cowen analysts:

  • Sales of the popular game Red-Dead Redemption were looking weak in the quarter, according to Cowen. Still, in game monetization could provide a revenue boost. Look out for management commentary on their intentions on how to sell and monetize the game.
  • Take-two is more exposed to console sales than competitors Electronic Arts (EA - Get Report) and Activision Blizzard (ATVI - Get Report) , and the upgrade cycle for consoles is kicking in soon. See what management says about revenues related to the console cycle.

The earnings didn't impress, while the earnings guidance for the current quarter caused the stock to waffle in post market trading.
