Tataka's stock has been tanking as the company doges questions over whether it will seek the Japanese equivalent of Chapter 11. Reports suggest that airbag maker Takata is being pressured to seek civil rehabilitation. That process would give way to a court-led restructuring of the company.
Takata denied these reports, saying it "has not made any such decisions and has no information to disclose." The speculation has caused the manufacturer's stock to fall more than 20%
