Sadly, shootings at workplaces, schools and movie theaters have become all too common in communities across the United States. That's why it's important to review what people should do in case they hear shots fired. Surviving a shooting requires fast thinking and quick action. But, how do you survive if you get caught in one of these situations. Knowing your ABCs could make all the difference. 'A' stands for 'avoid' and try to flee the building as quickly as possible. If that's not an option, 'B' stands for 'barricade' yourself in a room with a door until help can arrive. 'C' stands for 'confront' the intruder and use any sharp objects and furniture as a group to try and take the person down. Knowing the ABCs of safety in the workplace can potentially save lives.
