The needle barely moved on stocks as the trading month winds down and volume continues to be light. Several economic reports failed to push investors one way or another. Even big deal announcements from Apple and Tyson Foods failed to light a fire under traders. Ben Willis from Princeton Securities says it's as if the weekend already started. He blames the Federal Reserve for causing market confusion as many investors struggle to understand why the Treasury yields have dropped this week, adding to further confusion on the direction of the market. Perhaps June will bring back the traders.
