The world's financial system is looking unstable today. U.S. stock futures indicated a steep drop at the open of trading on Wall Street. Oil prices continued their plummet, now trading below $28 a barrel. Japan's Nikkei stock market lost 4 percent overnight and is officially in a bear market. European stock markets are also sharply lower. All the market turmoil is going on while world economic leaders are gathering in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum. Topics expected to be discussed are rising economic populism, technology advancements and emerging market strife. Netflix says it grew its subscriber base by about 5 million users but much of that growth was international users. It's user growth in the United States was below expectations.
