The books are closed on the second quarter and the first half of the year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished June with its best 3 days in 4 months. For the quarter, the Dow and S&P 500 gained approximately 3% but the NASDAQ lost about 3%. Telecoms have been the best performer so far this year, financials have been the worst. The government is looking into a fatal crash of a Tesla (TSLA) - Get Tesla Inc Report  Model S while it was in autopilot. The crash occurred in northern Florida and it happened when the car crashed into a tractor-trailer. Neither the driver nor the autopilot system saw the tractor-trailer, a problem that Tesla blames on the combination of a 'brightly lit sky' and the reflective surface of the trailer. Apple is reportedly looking to buy Jay Z's Tidal Music streaming service. The Wall Street Journal reports the talks are still in the early stages and may not end in a deal. Apple (AAPL) - Get Apple Inc. Report  wants to bolster its Apple music streaming app that's currently in a hard-fought competition with Spotify.
