A wild session on Wall Street but at the end, stocks extended their losses on Monday. Sinking oil prices once again took center stage leaving the Dow Industrials to drop another 100 points. The Nasdaq closed 1% lower. Oil prices tried to recoup and were up modestly in early trading. The struggle was lost and crude oil fell more than 3% to finish at just below $55.91 a barrel. Gold followed sagging oil prices. Futures for the precious metal fell for a fourth straight session, down more than 1%. McDonald's (MCD) was the biggest drag for the Dow Jones Industrial. The fast food giant lost more than 2%. Ford (F) was down 4.74% after an analyst downgrade. Deutsche Bank (DB) made its call saying low fuel costs will make the automaker's new fuel-efficient truck is less appealing. But PetSmart (PETM) fetched more than 4% in today's trading after agreeing to be bought out for $8.25 billion.
