The stock market is focused on earnings growth and the looming benefits from tax cuts, instead of the current government shutdown.
That's the assessment from Mary Ryan, sr. equity options strategist at E*TRADE.
On Monday, the Senate reached a deal to end the shutdown, which has elapsed for three days.
