The Stock Market Looks Too Expensive Right Now
Here is why.
The wave of corporate earnings that has inundated Wall Street has shown that the economy is doing OK, but the stock market has gotten ahead of itself. That's the opinion of Stephen Wood, the chief market strategist for North America at Russell Investments.
Wood thinks earnings season might come in a bit under consensus, and as a result, the stock market's valuation is currently too high. He thinks investors should look for opportunities in global stock markets, and says the U.S. market will remain choppy as Donald Trump begins to govern and propose policy changes.
