Starz Earnings Top Estimates, Subscribers Numbers Reach New Highs
Premium TV company Starz reported Q4 earnings on Wednesday that beat Wall Street estimates.
Premium TV company Starz reported Q4 earnings on Wednesday that beat Wall Street estimates. The cable channel operator announced revenue of $425.6 million and profits of $0.74 per share for the quarter. Subscriptions to Starz rose to a new high of 23.3 million. The company is working to diversify its content from primarily movie based programming into more original content. Lionsgate recently took a stake in the Colorado based company and Starz shares are up over 6 percent since the start of the year. Since beginning of trading back in 2013, Starz has re purchased around 19 percent of it outstanding shares.
